Celebrities who rebound

Rebounding has many positive effects and we’ve seen many celebrities become big fans of that type of workout in the past few years.

Goldie Hawn

Goldie Hawn was a famous fan of rebounding. Her “Got Crazy” rebounding moves made a splash on the web and got many people jumping at home.

But that’s not where the list ends. There are also Kate Beckinsale, Cindy Crawford, and Gwyneth Paltrow, to name a few.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is another celebrity who seems to enjoy her mini trampoline workouts a lot. That’s a way for her to keep herself toned up and to maintain her figure. She frequently shares videos of her fitness routine. Check that out for some ideas on rebounding exercises:

Eva says she enjoys the fact that rebounders are light, foldable, and easy to move.

There was even a video of her rebounding on a boat.

Julianne Hough

"My whole thing is, I’m not doing it necessarily to make my body look good—I’m doing it because I love it and it's fun"

This is how Julianne Hough describes her workout routine. And rebounding is an irreplaceable part of that.

Julianne shared with the media that she enjoys a variety of exercises but mini trampoline workouts are a regular in her schedule. She does them each Monday!

Why start rebounding

While many people consider this only a children’s activity for fun, it turns out it offers plenty of physical and mental benefits for adults, too! Even The New York Times wrote about the various benefits of rebounding.

This kind of exercise became so popular partly due to NASA’s research on it. The idea behind the study was to find the most effective way for astronauts to regain bone and muscle mass and to recover after being in space. Today, hundreds of people with different backgrounds, ages, and physical conditions experience the positive effects of rebounding.

Rebounding Changed My Body

Fat-burner

A big plus of a rebounding workout is that it’s a full-body exercise. You basically burn fat and gain muscle mass at the same time. Also, from a medical standpoint, rebounding is said to contribute to lymphatic drainage and, like any vigorous exercise, improves your blood circulation. Both of these are directly connected to weight loss. That’s probably why many fitness instructors like Nissi Jones swear by it!

Potential detox effects

When rebounding, it is said that you stimulate your lymphatic system due to the gravitational forces that are being created. When you bounce up (when weightless), your lymph valves open and when you bounce down, they close. That is supposed to create a great “pump” effect that drains away toxins and helps your immune system function better.

Unfortunately, there is little scientific research to back this claim but, on the other hand, there is anecdotal evidence from sources like Linda Brooks’ book “Rebounding to Better Health”. It states:

“A couple of minutes of health bouncing is very effective for moving the lymph fluid, flushing toxins and waste fluids outside of your body.”

Whether this is true or not, we can only guess, but in the end, all exercise is better than no exercise. So, focus on moving your body regardless of whether or not you’re flushing your lymphatic system. And if you are doing it and seeing the effect, all the better!

Mood enhancer

How can you not become happier when bouncing on a trampoline and remembering your free-of-responsibilities childhood? If you still don’t believe it, watch this video of Goldie Hawn! Her joy of rebounding is overpowering...

Cellulite Before And After Rebounding

There is, of course, scientific evidence. Once you start jumping, your body releases endorphins, and that naturally boosts your mood and makes you feel better.

To make it even better, put some music on in the background, put your rebounder in the backyard when the weather is nice, or do workouts together with other friends with rebounders.

How to choose the right rebounder for you

It’s important to choose the right rebounder because you’re going to use it long-term and you want to be sure it’s secure, comfortable, and worth its price. There are a few things to check when buying your first rebounder, such as the size, the assembly and portability, the materials it’s made of, etc. If you want the quick answer, I’ve already done a lot of research on what’s offered on the market, You can check my top 3 rebounders below.

Price

The patented spring technology delivers an unparalleled and flexible rebounding experience that boosts overall body strength.

2

4.8/5

This mini trampoline is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a quiet, stable, and compact option, offering great value for the price.

3

4.6/5

It's a great buy if you’re looking for a sturdy, quiet, and safe rebounder to use for regular exercise. The price point is reasonable for what it offers.

How to start

Rebounding can be a low-impact exercise and almost anyone can practise it. But if you’re a beginner, start slowly and with easier trampoline exercises. The simplest thing you can do is just walk in place until you find balance and coordination on the rebounder.

If you need any advice in terms of posture and movements, you can check the video below.

Rebounding Legs Before And After

Another thing to consider is your current physical fitness, your age, and medical conditions, if any. In the last case, it’s best to first consult a doctor before starting any new activity. Even though it’s a low-impact exercise, rebounding might still carry some risks

What to wear

There isn’t a particular type of sportswear for rebounding.  What’s important is to feel comfortable and to enjoy your workouts. My advice is to pay extra attention to your footwear because your ankles are directly affected when jumping. If you step badly when landing, you might injure yourself.

Once you’ve gained experience and self-confidence you can, of course, add different pieces of equipment to your workouts to make things more intense.

Rebounding For Weight Loss Before And After

How often to rebound

The frequency of your workouts depends on a few factors. First and foremost is your fitness level. If you’re more advanced, you can afford more intense workouts. If you’re a beginner, a senior, or you have some medical condition, then it’s better to take it easy and gradually add more intensity if possible.

Another thing to consider is your goal. Rebounding is an activity that works as a cardio for your whole body and can bring you the desired results in a positively short time.

Last but not least is your willpower. It all takes time and patience, but once you start jumping and having fun on the mini trampoline, the results will start coming faster than you might have thought.

BCAN 40/48" Foldable Mini Trampoline

I give this one a 4.8 score out of 5. It’s compact, it’s stable, and it’s quiet. Plus, it comes with an added handlebar for those who need extra stability. This rebounder is made from durable materials and it has a large weight capacity. It’s also pretty easy to fold it up and take your workouts out of the house!

FAQ

Is rebounding suitable for everyone?

Rebounding is a low-impact exercise that can be done by people of various fitness levels and ages. However, individuals with certain health conditions, such as severe osteoporosis, heart problems, or chronic back pain, should consult a doctor before starting any new exercise routine, including rebounding.

What equipment is necessary for rebounding?

The main equipment needed for rebounding is a mini trampoline, also known as a rebounder. Some people may also choose to use a stability bar for balance during workouts, especially beginners. You will also need appropriate workout clothing that lets you move easily and a pair of good running shoes.

How to integrate rebounding into a fitness routine?

Rebounding can be easily integrated into your fitness routine. Start by incorporating short sessions of about 10-15 minutes into your routine 3-4 times a week, gradually increasing duration as your fitness improves. It can be used as a warm-up, cool-down, or a standalone workout. Always ensure proper form to avoid injury.

How does your body change with rebounding?

Regular rebounding can lead to several positive body changes, including improved cardiovascular health, increased muscle tone, better balance and coordination, and potentially, enhanced lymphatic function. It can also assist in weight management and contribute to stronger bones.

Can you lose belly fat by rebounding?

Unfortunately, you can’t target belly fat with any specific exercise, but because rebounding is a full-body exercise, you should be able to lose fat from all over your body with it. That includes your belly, so, yes, rebounding can help you lose belly fat.

Consistent rebounding, along with strength training and a healthy diet, can lead to reduced body fat, including belly fat.

How long does it take to see results from rebounding?

The timeline to see results from rebounding varies depending on your individual goals, consistency, diet, and overall lifestyle. However, most people start noticing improvements in their cardiovascular fitness, energy levels, and mood within a few weeks of regular rebounding.

Conclusion

After all these inspiring rebounding before and after stories, I’m sure it has a big chance of becoming your favorite type of workout. It might sound a bit crazy and childish in the beginning, yes. But after you read about the experience of people who already tried and saw the results, you might as well try it!

Rebounding is budget-friendly, it’s space-saving, it’s suitable for almost everyone, it helps with weight loss, it’s good for your health, and it’s a workout you will actually enjoy doing! If you are still in doubt and need more answers, read the book “The Bounce: The Complete Superbound(r) Guidebook to 21st-Century Rebound Exercise”. That’s how one of the authors, Joy Daniels, describes rebounding:

“Rebounding — As you soar through the space of 10,000 possibilities, riding and modulating Earth’s powerful gravity field, you stimulate and potentiate nearly all of your body’s cells, fluids, systems, and structures. And—did we mention?—all of this is usually a ton of fun.”

And with that poetic ending, I hope you will go on to have a great day today!
